Who are we ?A small friendly group of people - male and female - who enjoy a common interest which provides us with the opportunity to get out into the countryside, meet individual challenges, and develop a specific set of skills in a safe and enjoyable way. We are a combination of experts, complete novices, and several of us somewhere in between. Each member is willing to pass on to others what they themselves have learned. We are certainly not a group of head-strong individuals only in the sport for our own benefit ! What do we shoot ?Various types and sizes of "clays" - saucer shaped, environmentally friendly targets which are launched from spring loaded "traps". The different sizes and positioning of the targets represent different types of "birds". Clays are the only thing we shoot. We take turns in shooting and launching the targets. When do we meet ?On a Sunday morning once a fortnight throughout the year (there obviously isn't a "clay" season). Where do we shoot ?Our normal venue is the permanent pasture behind Whitehills farm, on the Sibford Road about 1 mile out of Hook Norton. Occasionally we will visit another club as "guests" to provide an opportunity to demonstrate our competence (or lack of it !) in a different setting. The more experienced members also take part in competitive events around the country, but for the novices amongst us, we find our own "familiar surroundings" are quite challenging enough !
Why not come and give it a try ?
